Programming

Out & Open Mics is an open mic group for people of all skill levels. Whether you're a beginner or a more experienced performer, we want to create a space where people can work on their performance skills, get feedback, and make some new creative friends.
Mics, amps, and a sound system will be available for people to use. One of the facilitators can also bring a guitar and keyboard for people who aren't able to bring their own instruments.
You can use our Jotform to reserve a performance slot in advance, but it's not required. Walk-in performance slots will also be available at each meeting, so you can decide when you arrive if you'd like to perform. Meetings will begin with introductions and a quick overview of group guidelines and how to give constructive feedback. From there, we'll move into performances, with a short break to stretch and socialize before continuing.
Whether you're getting on stage for the first time or have been performing for years, all skill levels are welcome.

We will have both walk-in slots, and the ability for people to select a time to perform if they need.

Meetings will begin with short intros and going over the rules, as well as how to effectively give feedback to people. Following that we will have the performances, a 10 minute break to stretch and socialize, another ~40 minutes of performance, and 15 minutes at the end to freely socialize and hangout.
